About Danielle
I am a passionate person by nature, and I take this with me in all aspects of my life – work, play and personal. So whether I am commissioned to photograph Family Portraits, Women's Contemporary Portraits, Corporate Portraits and Branding, Commercial Interiors or Food/Hospitality, I strive for the best outcome possible for my clients.
I have been photographing for over 18 years, having completed my Diploma in Photography at Photography Studies College (PSC) in Melbourne in 2003.
Prior to this I always loved photography, and often had a camera in my hand. My previous life was as a Chef and although you may think the two are unlikely bedfellows, they are both in the service industry, and both require artistic flair.
It was in 1999, whilst living in Queenstown NZ that I decided to come home to Melbourne and pursue a different direction and study Photography. PSC was a fantastic 4 years.
When I started my course, photography was still analogue - film and darkroom! Digital was just starting to make its presence felt on the scene. After successfully completing the course, I started working part time as a photographer whilst still working as a Chef. Eventually one had to go. After 24 years as a Chef, I finally hung up my apron and knives professionally and took on photography full time.
Anyone who has changed course in the middle of his or her working career will tell you it's a huge decision to make. Sometimes you just have to follow your heart. It is an evolving journey, and one which I am so happy I started.
I look forward to meeting with you and chatting about your passions and how we can make this come alive in your images.
