This iconic Melbourne Wine Bar and Restaurant in Spring Street opposite Parliament has been strutting it's stuff for many a year now - and why I love Melbourne so much. I loved this place the first time I went there back in the early 90's, and enjoyed having the opportunity to photograph it in action over many evenings using traditional film camera. The final images were produced in the dark room on fibre based paper, with hand toning using Agfa Viradon Toner. Today, I also have this series printed on Fine Art Paper with Archival Inks.
Occasionally I get out and about with my Camera and take my surroundings, either on holiday in Anglesea, Tasmania, Bali or locally in Victoria - these are some of the results.

This traditional photographic printing also known as 'Blueprints' was originally used by engineers in the 20th Century as a process to reproduce their drawings/ plans etc. Each print will vary slightly due the traditional hands on printing technique.
They are also known as 'Sun Prints' as the sensitized art paper is 'developed' with the negative in sunlight to achieve the correct exposure for the final print, creating their characteristic cyan blue look.
During the printing process it is possible to 'tone' these prints to create various different finished looks.
Personally being a 'blue' girl, I generally keep to the cyan finish.
Photographic Art & Mixed Media
These are images I create using Mixed Media. They always have a photographic background, but I then add texture and depth with paper, stamps, ink, gold leaf etc, to help create the story. Various Art work is for sale. Both "Fractured Movements" and "God Gave You Style And Gave You Grace" are personalised Art Portraits.
